Seeking to Please the King
Scripture
Esther 2:15 (NKJV)
Now when the turn came for Esther the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her as his daughter, to go in to the king, she requested nothing but what Hegai the king’s eunuch, the custodian of the women, advised. And Esther obtained favor in the sight of all who saw her.
Reflection
Esther's obedience to Hegai's advice showcases her humility, trust, and willingness to listen to wise counsel. Similarly, in our Christian walk, obeying Christ's teachings and seeking guidance from godly mentors help us live a life pleasing to Him. Reflect on the importance of heeding wise counsel and following Christ's example in obedience. Esther shows us a great example of seeking to please the King, Jesus Christ.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, grant me the humility to seek wise counsel and the obedience to follow Your teachings faithfully. Help me trust Your guidance and discern Your will in all aspects of my life. May my actions bring glory to Your name. Amen.
